Georgia quaterback Carson Beck reportedly suffered a UCL injury during the SEC Championship on Saturday, according to Pete Nakos of On3.

His status for the Sugar Bowl is uncertain as he seeks a second opinion.
quote:

Georgia quarterback Carson Beck injured his UCL in his right elbow in Saturday’s SEC championship game against Texas, multiple sources tell On3. Sources also tell On3 that the redshirt senior is now having second opinions done.

Beck missed the second half of SEC title game with his arm injury. Georgia now has to turnaround and play the winner of Notre Dame and Indiana in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1. There is no clear timetable at this time for a return.

A UCL elbow injury is a tear or damage to the ligament on the inner side of the elbow that connects the upper arm to the forearm.
If Beck cannot play, Gunner Stockton will play in his place.

I went to a doctor once who told me I was too fat. I told him I wanted a second opinion. He said “ok, you’re ugly too”

The second opinions are probably more about what kind of procedures or treatments he needs.

He’s not playing. Same injury Brock Purdy got. This is Gunner Stockton’s team now.
