Georgia Star Adam Anderson Accused Of Rape, Reportedly Suspended
© Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports
Georgia star LB Adam Anderson has reportedly been suspended indefinitely after a woman says he raped her the night before the Bulldogs' game last weekend...
quote:

According to police docs, obtained by TMZ Sports, officers say a 21-year-old woman told them that after having a few drinks at an Athens, GA residence last Friday ... she awoke to Anderson having non-consensual sex with her.

No further details of the alleged incident were revealed in the docs.

Athens-Clarke County Police lieutenant Shaun Barnett told ESPN no arrests have been made despite the woman's claims ... adding that it's all "still open and under investigation."

Nonetheless, per ESPN, UGA football has barred 22-year-old Anderson from the team indefinitely while the probe continues.

For his part, Anderson has denied the allegations ... with his attorney, Steve Sadow, telling TMZ Sports the claims are "unfounded and unsupported."

"Adam hopes and prays the UGA community, and the public keep an open mind and not prejudge him based on inconsistent, unsubstantiated and baseless accusations," Sadow said.

Excuse the first part of my previous post. I meant to say. “I thought players stayed together in a hotel the night prior to games. “

What I don’t get is HOW “a few drinks” the Night BEFORE a game even happens Player Curfew? I thought I’m Not discounting this girls claims. College athletes have to take Extreme measures to protect themselves! It’s gotten to the point where College athletes need to have an attorney, third party witness, and notary public present prior to someone from the opposite sex being allowed to be alone with them. They need a notarized written statement of consent, along with a sworn video statement of consent deposed under oath. Then, Maybe they could have a female guest in their residence.

He's suspended just because someone "said" he raped her? Ridiculous.

Alleged victim reports "after having a few drinks"....then it's "she awoke to having non-consensual sex..."??? I am NOT condoning rape, date rape, molesting unconscious women, etc.- but there is surely a lot of things she is leaving out of this story.

That’s probably why he hasn’t been charged or arrested. Look his lawyer up, this won’t go anywhere.

What's new from Athens, that is the type of players they recruit.

1. This an unproven allegation. As I’m just you’d appreciate if you were accused, “innocent until proven guilty” is a canon of this country. Moreover, it doesn’t seem there’s even circumstantial evidence - she “woke up” to sex after voluntarily going home with him? That’s not enough. 2. Your team recruits the same players as UGA. UGA just beats you out because it’s a superior program. You recruit the same type of players, your program is just too inadequate to get them.
