Was at OBA one evening and look and see something odd in the sky, not far away. Before I knew it, the Blue Angels came screaming by in formation and were a mile down the beach in a split second. Never heard them until they were right on top of us. Made me think how much it would suck to be on the receiving end of that much badass. It gave me chills. Merica.

Flying in one of those bad boys has to be one of the most awesome feelings in the world.

I used to canoe down the Suwanee River for a week every summer. On one trip, out of nowhere, a military jet came around the bend below the treeline, inside the "valley" created by the river and the high trees on each side. We were surprised and so was he! He immediately shut up out the river skyward. I almost wet myself - in a few ways.

40 years ago a couple of AF guys flew down Florida Blvd in an F-4 low and hot, iirc the windows in the Blue Cross building shattered.

Seen the Blue Angels many times up in WI. As a kid friends and I would go up this big clear cutted hill couple miles away from airport. Practice sessions are a little more free for all. Little more buzzing the tower so to speak. But they would fly right over the top of us. We'd be screaming and swearing at them, egging them on, lol. It was such a rush.
