A donation is voluntary. Do whatever you want with YOUR money. The money being extracted outta my wallet by our outlaw gov is at gunpoint.

How about "earning" the money. When I was a Cub Scout, went went door to door asking folks to save their old newspapers...yeah newspapers. Then 6 mths or a year later we went around and picked these piles of papers up and sold em. Got enough money for our big camping trip at the end of the year.

Give value to get value.

It’s just what you do when you take a team to Cooperstown. Even the wealthiest teams set up fundraising.

This is what these teams do. I know people whose kids played in this tournament in Cooperstown. Whether she has money or not. It teaches your kids about fund raising. I am not a Alysaa Milano fan but this criticism is not necessary in this situation.

For this cause, I gladly donate to the kids doing their Saturday/Sunday morning fund raising outside of Publix Stores down here in Miami!

I've seen this before - rich people do this because they see other people doing it. They've been rich their whole lives, and really don't comprehend why people ask for money. They think it's just something you're supposed to do when your son's baseball team goes on a trip.

Why would someone pay for another person's kid's trip? I never asked or received anything regarding my kids or grandkids trips, maybe if you can't afford it, don't put your kids in it!
