Saban Comments On Bama's Lack Of Alternate Uniforms
Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports
These days every college football has more than a few different uniforms they wear during the season. Not Alabama though. During his radio show on Thursday night, head coach Nick Saban talked about the Crimson Tide's lack of alternate uniforms...
quote:

“But I’m such a traditionalist when it comes to … everybody has an idea of what Alabama football players are supposed to look like when they come out of the tunnel in terms of the uniform that they wore and the uniform that we wear,” Saban said. “That’s not a tradition that I think anybody has a right to mess with. I’m sure that my friends at Nike, who always want to come up with some new uniform for us to wear, I guess that’s the business side of it that I should be more accommodating to,”

Saban can't put a complete sentence together.

Hell, these days, the fact that Alabama doesn't wear alternate uniforms makes them even more original. Crimson on white at home, then all white with crimson trim on the road. Beautiful. Bama will never do the gimmick uniforms.

Much respect for Saban and Alabama for preserving tradition. Football isn't a fashion gala.

Don't change, Bama. Tell Nike to get lost. I wish all teams would tell Nike to go away.

I'd be fine with white helmets. Alabama wore them from time to time in the 60s and 80s. At least that's what the internet and pics claim. I think W R W would be better than wearing them W W W. They'll probably never come back though.

When I see Bama, I think about tree safety, getting shot or nut sack molestation.

Of course he went with the politically correct answer regarding "tradition" but what he was more than likely thinking is that "I don't have time to give a shite about uniforms."

Don't change a thing with the uniforms.

Leave the uniforms alone, but bring back the old logo with the elephant stepping through the A.

"white road helmets" - hell no. I love the fact that when you see Bama's uni's, you have that unmistaken feeling that you're teams arse is about to get mauled.
