Alabama head coach Nick Saban To Undergo Surgery Prior To 2019 Season
Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports
On Friday, Alabama head coach Nick Saban announced he'll soon be undergoing hip replacement surgery to fix a pain in his right hip. From USA Today...
quote:

“I want to get it fixed because I don’t want to coach for one more year,” Saban said Saturday. “I want to coach for a lot of more years. So, whenever things like this come up, I want to be aggressive and proactive to get it taken care of. We’ll certainly do that and we have really good people to do it and I don’t think it should be a big deal.”
Wouldn't want him to miss any time on the field.

Bama about to install the MNF crane for Saban on the sideline.

I wish he'd hurry up and retire already! But, truth be told, he's a damned good coach and a good man. His players at LSU loved him, as do his players at Bammer. Here's to wishing for a successful surgery for Coach Saban.

Once you start opening your body for spare parts it'll never get better. This truly is the start of the decline. The pace of the season will truly be a test just for himself. He won't be able to keep up so naturally the program will see a drop off. He's going like a screaming child being pulled out of a store without that new toy. I will enjoy the next few years.

Can he get one that makes him taller?

It would be horrible if the power went out at the hospital during the surgery

Marty Smith got a long summer ahead of him up at Lake Burton wiping butts, mowing grass, getting takeout and doing laundry. Too bad Butch isn't around anymore.

Didn't realize he was up by Lake Burton. I thought his place was closer to Helen and Unicoi.
