I think what he is saying is that they were not mentally prepared. It’s not so much an excuse as an explanation. Truth is, lack of focus falls squarely on the HC. He got out coached, plain and simple

I don't care what excuses he makes. Just keep winning 12+ games a year.

LSU fans talking about making excuses after a loss. Give. Me. A. Freakin. Break. Don't even try to deny it.

So Internal distractions was the reason you were out coached? Internal distractions was the reason you lost by 28 points? I thought you were big bad Alabama and even on your worse day you are still better than everybody? Oh wait I guess i'm still thinking...

Nick, it is completely possible to just outright not be the better team. Also could you not have just paid the Big Ten refs more?

Clemson outplayed Alabama plain and simple. Saban was out coached, no need to make excuses little Nicky, you got your shite pushed in by a better team.

I agree. One big distraction.....CLEMSON. And with their best player on the sideline. Lil' Nickie looked like a beaten man early in the 3rd quarter. Give it up....the dynasty is over.

For $8.6 million a year you think he’d be able to keep his team focused.

His act just seems a bit stale and boring now. We get it Nick.

That's probably the reason he beats everyone. Because those teams are distracted.

That’s the standard response from Saban and his players every time they lose. Have you ever heard any of them ever give credit to their opponent when they lose???

Ole Nicky is 100% correct. The 28 point loss his Alabama Elephants suffered by the Clemson Tigers had nothing to do about being out coached, out schemed, and out played by the Tigers now did it?

not surprised by this at all...its his process, and as long as everyone executes it as he planned it, he wins, and if 1 person deviates the entire plan goes to shite and its not his fault {sarcasm off}. but damn they got their asses kicked that night!

Surprised by this for sure. Saban has never been one to make excuses.

Very surprised he would say what he said. Sounds like excuses on top of excuses which he would personally never tolerate. Double standard at play.
