Alabama Announces Hire Of New Athletic Director Greg Byrne

The University of Alabama officially announced the hire of Greg Byrne to be the school's new Athletic Director.

Byrne, who has served as Vice President for Athletics at the University of Arizona since 2010, will replace Bill Battle who announced his retirement on Sunday. Per RollTide.com:

Bell, UA's president. "We believe Greg Byrne is uniquely qualified for this role, and we are pleased to announce he has accepted the position of athletic director here at The University of Alabama."
