I'm going with LSU's Tiger Stadium. It has to be the most unoriginal name of any college football stadium. Thoughts?

Enron Stadium was pretty bad there for a while.

Brian Dennehy Stadium. Not even born in Alabama. Born in Connecticut.

I would say because we don't sell out to corporate sponsors and big donors, but all of our athletic facilities, scoreboards, and baseball outfield wall say otherwise

Isn't the stadium normally named after famous alumni of each program?

I don't see how corporate sponsorships have anything to do with naming the field and stadium...

I was just making a joke.

But some are named after corporate sponsors and big donors.

On a more serious note, why haven't y'all named your field and stadium after a famous player/coach?

Seems y'all have more than enough to choose from.

ETA: Yeah I forgot about that pizza stadium. God that is awful.

Why??? Because no matter who it is or how much money they have, they are not more important than any other Tiger.

Tiger Stadium- a place where opponents dreams come to die

I like the stadium but "Happy Valley" is pretty goofy.

Who said anything about money? I'm sure plenty of the former players or coaches are broke as can be...

Of course I assumed I wouldn't get a serious answer. Just some ridiculous comment defending why it's named what it's named when I didn't even attack it.

My thoughts? You don't know the meaning of the word unoriginal.

Bryant-Denny Stadium was originally Denny Stadium
Jordan Hare was originally Auburn Stadium
Neyland stadium was originally Shields Watkins Field
Vaught-Hemingway was originally just Hemingway Stadium
Davis /wade was originally New Athletic Field
Ben Hill Griffin.....Florida Field
Williams Brice.....Columbia Municipal Stadium

Tiger Stadium has always been Tiger Stadium
