I say nay, no need to risk injury or let other teams scout you. Nothing we ever saw in that game seemed to translate to fall camp anyway.

That said, how much revenue would it cost UGA and Athens?

Sad the NWOs propaganda is working this well.

No more walk ons, no more spring games, no more rivalries, no more conferences, mandatory vax cards to buy season tickets, social credit scores for donations.

How much can they scout watching the starters run vanilla plays for 1 quarter?

Coaches already have years of HS tape on all players in the country.

Regular season games shouldn't be televised, we should only get a score update published, that way the other coaches can't scout our system, plays, and personnel. And we shouldn't allow 90,000 fans to watch it in the stadium either, surely there's spies in the crowd. It's not unprecedented, see 2020.

I know your just being a jackass, but there is a transfer window after the Spring game, where kids can leave the school and play with another in the fall….

Once the season starts, that’s a different story.

I didn’t say we should or shouldn’t get rid of spring games, just telling you a valid arguement from coaches, who don’t want to recruit their own players to stay for fall against some NIL deal…

it's a practice that just so happens to be televised. We aren't going to quit practicing

there is zero that can be gleaned from a team's season frmo the spring practice

right...so how would opponents scout it again?

idk but probably not a small amount. But more importantly, with today's ever increasing frickery wtih big money tickets/contributions/etc. the average joe is getting more and more squeezed out from attending games. The spring game is one of the last real safe havens to take a family of 4 out to the stadium and watch the dawgs without breaking the bank or fighting with all the hassles that come wiht a gameday. Getting rid of the spring game is a giant middle finger to the average fan much more so than it is to our opponents.

Game is moving more Pro, think the camps should follow.

So three rounds of preseason games where we cut guys each week to get down to our roster cap?

My interest in college football has diminished greatly since our last natty. Too much change for my liking, and I certainly don't like the changes made.

Honestly feel the same. This is the first year ever that I’m not overly stoked for football. It’s a soured down product now.

Yep.
Us beating Texas twice and them still making the playoff was super sour to me.
It could’ve come down to having to beat them three times to prove we are better than them. (We are.)

That could go both ways. They watch our spring game, we watch their spring games. So net-neutral in that sense. If they want to put out illegal tampering offers on our players, we can put out illegal tampering offers on their players. There is no reason to cancel a spring game unless like Florida a few years ago when their roster was so depleted they literally couldn't field two offensive lines. That's a ligitimate reason to not hold a public spring game.

We generally have better players so I would not say that zero sum. Plus we have a deeper bench in most cases.

My take is to lift some of the strain off the coaches in the office season.
