He admitted they had a plan to bring in the Bateman kid, and knew they would do it, but he was smart enough not to tell the idiot media about it before the game was played. Kiffin is not a stupid fellow, nor is Saint Nick Saban. If it gives you an edge, by whatever degree, then do it.
Kids see that tweety as a message, "Bama will come and fvk you up, mess with us and that just makes it worse for you". Kiffin is far too smart to do something that would hurt his ability to recruit. These guys are just going to "select their players" and the rest who didnt get picked by Bama will be recruited by the everyone else. Saban would just laugh at anybody trying to make an issue of that tweet. These guys know what they are doing.

Kentucky snatched defeat from the jaws of victory as they say, and since it was football and not basketball we can all continue not caring too much.
Florida clearly has work to do if they are going to challenge UGA and Tenn, who isn't out of it just because of one really ugly performance.
We knew the rest of the East was weak and Auburn has some talent on offense, it just needs some good coaching and time to work out who should be out there or Gus is a few bricks short. Jesse had to contain himself from calling Gus an idiot and try and convince us that musical QB's isn't as stupid as we all know it is.
The bottom half of the SEC is about what we thought it was really, we'll just need some time for teams to float up and some to drop down. Looks like it won't take much time either.

I think Lane will probably get a dozen more HC job offers in D1 before Nick retires so it's likely you will get a chance to hire him WITH the HC experience, assuming he get's it done in his second go around.

If Saban retires do you want Lane to take over?
If any other school in the SEC hired Kiffin again, they would want him to bring EVERY SINGLE Bama recruit that would come with him, regardless of what they may claim. So there is some amount of mendacity and false virtue in all these Kiffin rants.
