There’s a thread for the NFL players. Thought I’d start one for the other guys. CAP with the touchdown and extra point. He’s looked good the past 2 weeks.

Sammie Coats just had a pass drop then a TD called back.
ETA: Gimel President on the DL for Houston as well.

Sammie had 9 targets with 2 catches for 30-something yards and a couple of drops last week. The Steeler fans on Twitter were absolutely trashing him...

Yeah, he was injured most of his Steeler tenure. A broken hand or finger if I remember correctly. They are a bitter bunch.

I know. Seems like one of the more fixable problems a player can have, too, with the jugs machine, technique, coaching, and repetition but Sammy has always had drop problems

If Sammie had elite hands he would be a big deal in the NFL. Pro bowl ability. You would think he could have worked through it like you said. Either he has worked his arse off trying and just can’t get it, or he is a lazy arse.

Seems like the drop guys don’t usually shed that label. Some just catch enough to make it work Coates was a long way from whatever that Mendoza line is

He had at least one drop last night. There was another WR that overshadowed him big time. In a June Jones offense, he should get plenty of chances to redeem himself. The team he plays for doesn't even have TEs on the roster.
