Texas will travel to Atlanta without their mascot "Bevo" for Saturday's SEC Championship Game. SEC spokesperson explained why the conference denied Bevo access to the SEC Championship Game...
quote:

"When we received the request for Bevo to be on the sideline in Mercedes-Benz Stadium, our staff looked at several alternatives including the sideline location. The reality is there is limited sideline space at the stadium," the SEC statement said. "We can’t jeopardize the safety of Bevo or the game participants. With the narrow sidelines, location of multiple sets for television and camera carts, there is not enough space. While we want to honor tradition across the conference, the space limitation is a reality."

Stupid mascot.

It's a steer. So, it's literally castrated.

And it's not a majestic wild animal. It's a domesticated animal used as food for people.

UT approach is eeeily similar to people who believe thy have to take their little poopoo dog with them into every establishment they visit. Keep your dogs out of coffee shops, your bulls out of tight spaces, and get off my lawn!

He’s safer staying in Austin than going to Atlanta. Blessing in disguise.

You couldn't find a space ANYWHERE? Put him in the parking lot and let peeps pet him.

I would hope they'd let us do that with Mike.

This is GA BS, the NCAA and college football is Fd. The game will never be the same. I hope Texas beats the $hit out of GA.

Nobody wants to pick-up those huge poops. Well, maybe some weirdo does, but, you can't let that kind of guy near college girls.

I wouldn't worry about Bevo's safety. He looks like about a 2,000 lb longhorn. He would take care of himself
