Up 35-0 on Tennessee Tech before the half, Butch Jones elected to kick a field goal. The fans didn't like this decision and started booing. You can see by his response, he didn't really care what they thought...

It's just a theory but I believe Vol coaches having to hear that stupid Rocky Top song stresses them out to max levels.

If I were Butch, I'd be pissed too. Despite some of his coaching failures, he has gotten Tennessee out from under the bullshite type of team they had been for so long. Injuries completely destroyed their season, losing their best players left and right and they don't have the talented depth yet to recover like a Bama or LSU does. They get much better at QB next year, if Kamara comes back, he and Todd Kelly are a much better 1-2 punch than with Hurd, the OL will be bring back at least 4 starters with a decent amount of experience, and they have a nice starting 3 of WRs and a good TE in Wolf who will all be very experienced. Bob Shoop is a good DC, and will get that defense back in order as long as the MASH unit doesn't continue to be a yearly thing.

Butch has about had it with UT and vice versa. It's a difficult job to coach in amongst the least knowledgeable fan base in the SEC, besides UK perhaps.
