What's Nick Saban's plea to poll voters about Alabama playing for a national title?
quote:

"Be fair."
He's saying don't vote against them because they want to avoid a rematch against LSU..."
quote:

If somebody does that, I guess it's their choice to do it," Saban said. "It's a free country. But the whole thing should be based on who's the best two teams. Isn't that what it's supposed to be? If it's not on that, then it doesn't matter whether we've played before or any of that.

"Who's the best two teams? That's the question. If the decision gets made on that, I'll be fine with that. If it gets made on some of this other stuff, that's not fair. It's not fair to the players, and it wouldn't be fair to their players either. It wouldn't be fair to anybody."
Settle down, Nicky, settle down.

One thing I've always noticed about Saban is that he is fair. He was fair when he lied to LSU and Miami so I guess he will vote fairly in the coaches poll. Yes, let's all be fair.

The BCS was set up to put the #1 and 2 teams in the same game. Not necessarily put the two "best" teams in the same game.

Didn't he lose the first time?

You didn't win your division, nor the conference and you lost to this team already on YOUR field and you want a rematch? Yep. That's fair.

Guy gets a bonus for playing and/or winning in the BCS Championship...of course he is pipping his team.

"Anyone who doesn't win their conference championship has no business playing in the national championship game" (Nick Saban 2003)

We got some fair treatment IMO enroute to our 2007 MNC (2 OT losses). We brag about our SEC dominance in Football, so why are we shying away from possibly the ultimate showdown in modern college football history? I love our chances.

He once said if a team doesn't win their conference they should not be in the championship game. He wasn't being fair then and he's not now. If you can't win on your own field with ref that live in Ala, is it fair to get another shot?

What happens if he loses again? That would be 3 loses to Les Miles in 2 years. A coach he and others don't think much of. Would be bad for him.
