New Auburn football coach Alex Golesh just taking shots at Alabama basketball out of the gates, poking fun at them losing with Charles Beidako. In case you're not aware...Charles Beidako is the former Alabama player who forfeited his eligibility to turn pro in 2023, decided now he wants to come back from the G League, sued the NCAA and is currently on a temporary restraining order to play for Alabama... Really stupid thing for him to say. I'm sure Auburn's basketball team appreciates the bulletin board material.

Yeah why actually listen to an interview when you can listen to snippets from the media.

Let’s look at the entire part of the interview that talks about this situation:

Reporter: “Wanted to ask you about what's going on in college basketball right now with Charles Bederako and how that could translate potentially to college football. You know, if a guy declares for the draft, goes undrafted, or is even on a practice squad in the NFL, them potentially coming back and, you know, using up the rest of their eligibility, the college ranks.

Alex “Would you believe me if I haven't paid much attention to it? Um man crazy it would add a bigger pool of players, wouldn't it? Um I don't know.
Um I really don't. It would certainly add a bigger pool of kids. You know, I think college football is evolving so fast and every single time there's a situation like that, your or my antennas go up and, you know, I think with every change or every ruling or lack of ruling, you you've got an opportunity to either sit and complain about it, which I think we tend to as coaches. Um I've always looked at it the other way. It's like, man, where's the loophole in here?
Who's available out there that we can go get that fits what we do? Uh but certainly fascinating um from legal side. Fascinating. Um yeah, how did it work out for him last weekend? Pretty good? Did it?”

Reporter: “Well, he won last night. 14 and six in 18 minutes.”

Alex: “So, gotcha.”

Barely a month at Auburn and Russky Harsin's already got Bama on the mind. Sad but at least he waited a full month to let his little bro light shine, unlike Bishop Freeze.

Yea, that's pretty ridiculous that he answered a question posed to him about his main rival.

I didn't realize you were still alive Harvey....

Here is AGs entire response when asked about the G league player coming back to play for Bama. To me it sure seems like he is giving them credit for thinking outside the box. But that doesn’t make for as good of headlines.
