During Saturday’s ugly 88–58 blowout loss at Tennessee, reporters covering the game overheard coach John Calipari yelling this at freshman guard Archie Goodwin as he headed to the bench...“
quote:

I can’t coach you!”
During a timeout late in the game, Coach Cal didn’t even speak to his players in the huddle. His rationale?
quote:

“I’m not wasting my breath here,” he said afterwards. “(They’re) not listening.” “We have a couple of guys who aren’t real coachable,” he also said. “You tell them what to do and they do their own thing.”

No Calipari is just a victim of his own game. He recruits the top 1 & done guys. The 1 & done guys aren't coachable....they aren't there for school. They are just doing what they have to do before trying for the NBA.

TigerJeff has the most correct statement on here. How can Cal ever be at fault if it's the players who are uncoachable? It's his way of justifying his team losing. The blame is all theirs, not his.

He's also like Saban in that he can never be wrong, in his mind. Saban blamed the Dolphins' front office for his dismal coaching record and when Ala. inevitably winds up on probation it will be someone else's fault. Screw this egomaniacs.

Saban wins NC Title with Mike Shula recruits. Mike Shula could barely go over .500 with them. Talent advantage my arse.

Didn't he recruit them?

Saban doesn't need a huge talent advantage, just a distinct talent advantage. And fortunately, he always has one.

Fortunately for both of them, getting huge talent is rarely every a problem

He is just like Saban, needs huge talent advantage to win.
