The 6-foot-5, 235-pound tight end from St. James School made it official Tuesday when he verbally committed to Auburn over Alabama, LSU and Vanderbilt, among others during a press conference at his high school.

"I think it was the best fit for me as a person and as a football player," Harris said. "I love coach (Gus) Malzahn; he' a great coach. I was just comfortable with all of their coaches and that was a big part of my decision."
Harris said that he would have committed to Alabama if Auburn didn't offer him a scholarship.
