U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville Reacts To Paul Finebaum’s Interest
Rob Leifheit-USA TODAY Sports
On Tuesday, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville told podcaster Steve Bannon that he hasn’t spoken to ESPN's Paul Finebaum about running for office, which he recently hinted at. However, he wasn’t opposed to the idea...
quote:

“I’ve known Paul a long time,” Tuberville said, via 1819 News. “Paul is just a commentator that created division between fans on both sides of whatever teams he wanted to talk about that day on the radio or TV. He had a dialogue. Paul is smart. He loves the country.”

“He’s got 100 percent name ID in Alabama,” Tuberville continued. “He’d have a lot of big people behind him. He would be a force in the race if he decided to get into it. I’m for people that come up here that don’t want to be in politics. They want to come up and help. I don’t support any of them. There’s no reason for me to get involved, but Paul is a good guy, a good friend.”

Like him or not, Tommy Tuberville overdelivered as a US Senator from Alabama. Finebaum is a smart guy that will be the leader going into that race, if he announces he’s running.

I could care less about either one of them.

Pawl is 70. We don't need any more old coots or bartenders in Congress.

What is it about the south where we think football coaches would make good politicians? Don’t get me wrong, not a fan of what we got so far to be honest, but this such a weird grift. I can’t be the only one who thinks it’s strange.

How is trading in your Senator suit for Governor suit a grift? And Tubbs was a solid senator

I think it’s better to have some football coaches with a lot of leadership experience put in for the race, then have continual career politicians.

Football coaches understand merit. Their whole lives are based in reality. You win or you get fired. You perform or you get off the field. Their brains aren’t programmed to deal with bullshite. I like it.
