Macon.com is reporting that Georgia sophomore safety Tray Matthews has been dismissed from the team. Mark Richt announced the news on Tuesday.

The rising sophomore safety was dismissed from the team, head coach Mark Richt announced on Tuesday.

“We are trying to make room for guys who want to do things right," Richt said.

Matthews started six games last year, and played in two more. He is the third Georgia defensive back to leave the team this offseason.
