Saturday night's game between Alabama and Georgia was an instant classic, so much so, ESPN's Paul Finebaum called it the best game in SEC history...
quote:
"I've covered the SEC for more than 40 years," Finebaum told "SportsCenter." "You can see that on my face right here, but I believe that is the best college football game in the SEC I have seen during all those years. I know we often get hung up on being prisoners of the moment but that is an exaggeration to say that we are in this case."
"You saw the lead. You saw the comeback. You saw the ending. It had everything you could have, including the fact that we have this rivalry in the SEC, two of the best teams in the entire country who may or may not play again. It had absolutely everything," he continued.
"What Kirby Smart said is correct, that is true of both schools, nobody left anything on the field. They put it all out there and if you ask who's the better team, the better team won, but next time it could be different."
