Alabama head coach Nick Saban met with the media on Monday and provided injury updates for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide receiver DeVonta Smith.

Saban expects Tagovailoa to play this weekend against Tennessee and says Smith is "day-to-day." Per AL.com:
quote:

"He's probably better this week than he was last week," Alabama coach Nick Saban said. "So we'll see how he does in practice and continue to evaluate. As long as the medical staff clears him, we'll keep working him to try to get him ready to play in the game."

"You never know how hamstring injuries are going to respond and how fast guys will be able to recover," Saban said. "At his position, probably have to be pretty full-speed to be able to play, so we'll have to play that one day-to-day."

Saban lies. Taulia will be Tua's double for the Tennessee game. Don't be fooled, Corndogs.

They list the medical staff on Alabama athletics website. This in particular may be what you're looking for with regards to Tua's knee: "Alabama athletes also count on Dr. James Andrews, who serves on the Tide's medical staff as a consultant. Andrews is one of the world's foremost orthopedic surgeons, internationally known and recognized for his scientific and clinical research contributions in knee, shoulder and elbow injuries and his skill as an orthopedic surgeon. Many of the world's outstanding athletes seek his expertise in sports injuries. Dr. Lyle Cain also serves as an orthpedic consultant."
