During the first half of the SEC Championship on Saturday, Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin signaled for a touchdown before his QB Blake Sims had even thrown the ball to DeAndrew White for a 58-yard TD...

He did the same thing last week against Auburn in the Iron Bowl...

A bit arrogant? Or nothing at all?

Hate K -- but those are setups you dream of(and work 18 hrs a day) as a coach. I would have done the same thing.

And for those of you who think it's a signal for Sims to throw, you truly need to learn football before commenting on something you know nothing about. Take this from a high school offensive coordinator.

He knows the play and if the key WR is going to be open on the play. Assuming Sims sees the WR too.

I would kind of lean towards signal, but I just don't think the QB is looking at the sideline in the middle of a play.

I agree it's a signal to let Sims know he's going to be open downfield

"Because the ball wasn't thrown yet?"

Exactly. Moron.

"How do we know it's not a signal that the deep ball receiver is open?"

Because the ball wasn't thrown yet? Idiot.
