The AP is reporting that Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo interviewed for the head coaching position at Colorado State this week.

Bulldogs coach Mark Richt said Wednesday that Bobo visited Fort Collins but was expected back in time for an evening practice in Athens. It was No. 13 Georgia’s first workout in preparation for the Dec. 30 Belk Bowl against 20th-ranked Louisville.

Colorado State was seeking a replacement for Jim McElwain, who left this month to become the new coach at Florida. Oregon offensive coordinator Scott Frost and Mississippi State co-offensive coordinator Billy Gonzalez have also been mentioned as candidates for the job.
Bobo, who was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2007, has been on the Georgia coaching staff since Richt was hired in 2001.
