Both Tennessee and Georgia are undefeated as they get ready to meet this Saturday at Sanford Stadium. Former Tennessee QB Erik Ainge isn't worried about the homefield advantage...

Since Ainge left UGA just decided that a shitload of 5-stars will make up for it - and so far it's worked out for them

I'm not sure anyone has ever said Sanford is intimidating.

Sanford really isn't that intimidating to be honest. I've had 5 trips there.

As a UGA grad who has experienced games in multiple SEC venues, I can attest to the fact that he's not necessarily wrong. Sanford is a big stadium, yeah. But I don't know if it's an acoustics thing or what, but aside from the really big plays, it honestly doesn't get that loud. I was at the 2003 UGA-LSU game, and I always tell UGA people that that was a whole different level of noise. The same crowd noise that Sanford makes when UGA scores a touchdown and gets a turnover was the same intensity of sound that Tiger Stadium sustained for like ten minutes straight when David Greene got hurt and DJ Shockley came in with UGA backed up on their own 5-yard-line.

My theory is that it's about the slope of the stands and how close to the field the fans are. High slope and close to the field = louder at on the field itself.

So basically, Georgia doesn't stack their people on top of each other.

UT feeling themselves a LIL too much. Easily could’ve lost the Bama game had they not called PI on Bama’s INT and Bama could’ve taken a knee. Anyhow, win the SEC East before you start belittling other teams and stadiums and such.
