Alabama third-string quarterback Mac Jones was arrested Friday morning charged with driving under the influence and improper ID by a minor.

The arrest comes just one day before Alabama's big game vs. LSU. Per AL.com:

The 19-year-old Jones was arrested at about 2:14 a.m. Jones was involved in a car accident with another vehicle and then failed a field sobriety test after police officers discovered that he was intoxicated, said Tuscaloosa Police Department spokesperson Teena Richardson.

No one was injured in the car accident.

Officers also found that Jones was in possession of a fake identification, according to Richardson.
Jones his a third-string freshman quarterback behind starter Jalen Hurts and backup Tua Tagovailoa.

As long as he had the air conditioning off in the car all charges should be dropped

He's a third-string quarterback who in all likelihood will never play significantly. It's not a distraction.

He's a nobody so Saban will probably punish him. Got to make an example of those bad players so the starters will know what they can get away with.
