Alabama running back Derrick Henry is currently seventh in the NCAA FBS in rushing with 901 yards and 12 touchdowns and is gaining more ground in the Heisman Trophy race each week.

Henry made it clear this week while speaking with the media in Tuscaloosa that he is not worried about the Heisman. Per USAToday.com:
quote:

“Nope,” said Henry while shaking his head. “No, no, no, no.”

When asked why he isn’t thinking about the honor, Henry said that’s not the team goal.

“Our goal is to get a team win every Saturday,” Henry said. “We’re not worried about the Heisman.”

Henry's having a good year and might be on pace for an invite....but nobody on any Bama board is saying he deserves the award over LF.

Some of you LSU fans need to pump the brakes a bit. The fact that someone with potential is being talked about is not an insult to your golden boy. Even if Henry were to somehow outrush LF in the Bama game I don't think anyone would think that means Henry is better

Wait... People are actually trying to hype him up? There should literally only be one person invited to NY this year. And not Henry.
