You can only go so far out on the calendar but within the last week or so that 9/9 weekend became available to start booking. I went ahead and booked into chicago this morning. Some of you early birds may want to start checking it out as I imagine prices will go up by next summer. Just a heads up!

I expect Georgia to win about 6 games next year, but this is one of them.

Notre Dame has become a dumpster fire.

I know it's a long ways away...but if we win more than 6 games would you agree to never post again? Likewise I'll do the same if we win less than 6.

I am going to make an announcement related to that next week.

I could self-ban much sooner than that.

Just wait until I reveal my announcement next Monday or Tuesday.

Prices will be cheaper somewhere in the 30-90 day out period...and Chicago is a cheap flight no matter where you are flying from.

I had told anyone would listen that I was going to go this game no matter what the cost...I didn't care if I had to pay $10G for a ticket I was going to see UGA play in South Bend.

After last season and this one? I seriously doubt I will go....I am just about cured of the UGA addiction that has cost me tens of thousands of dollars and ruined many a nice fall weekend for the last 43 years....With some luck I probably have 30 seasons left....I don't think we win a natty in that time frame as it takes 3 perfect games in a row and UGA has never beaten 3 quality opponents in a row.

I am just about over it....there are more enjoyable things than getting emotionally involved with what a bunch of 20 year old kids and a group of millionaire adults do on a football field on a lovely fall Saturday....

UGA is on a 40-60 year NATTY cycle so don't give up hope....we are heading into the sweet spot!

I worked at an airline for a good while. You can get the best prices if you book far in advance. Usually, you cannot change those tickets AT ALL, without significant penalties. However, if you feel very good about going with no changes booking early is the way to go. Typically there will be rules such as 30 day advance booking, stay over a Saturday night, etc.

Don't wait, because the number of seats given the 30 day advance purchase prices change according to demand. The more the demand, the fewer the availability of the low price tickets.

Little known fact....IF you book and there is a SEVERE emergency (Death in the family, for instance) the air line will typically waive the penalties, but you will have to prove the emergency. (Death certificate, or something along those lines..they are not going to take your word for it)

Hope this helps, and if you are planning to go, good luck finding seats......but book early!

This is, quite literally, a once in a lifetime trip. It has never, ever been done before in history. We could go winless the rest of this year and lose to app state next year, but i imagine when you're 90 and talking ot the grandkids they aren't gonna care we weren't good at the time, they'll just think it was cool that gramps was at the UGA/ND game.

You're right! I think a long weekend in chicago with friends, checking out a historic college campus and stadium, and checking out a UGA football game along the way is a good time whether we win or not.

thanks for the info. Yeah I figured it'd be cheaper to go ahead and do it now so I wanted to jump on it. I do plan on going to the game and we'll get tix through the school so not worried there. I'm just pumped about the mini-vacation and long weekend, should be a blast.

It will be. Everybody that goes will have a great time.

It's a shame, but we have gotten to the point, where we can't enjoy a Georgia football game unless we are really good, or in the hunt for a National Championship. We can't sit and watch a game just for enjoyment.

What do fans of Georgia Southern, South Carolina and other schools with little chance of winning a NC do? They go to a game and enjoy the game and hope their team wins. If not, they have a good time and then go out to eat, and have a nice time. We, our fans, seem incapable of doing this, and it's a shame. We allow our identity to be tied to how a football team does, and it affects our entire lives.

You'll have a great time at Notre Dame, and that is why somebody should go.
