Seeing Murray wearing cold weather gear is bizarre to me. About to kickoff the 2:00 game.

Maybe, but it won't last two full seasons. People get enough football with the NFL and CFB.

Yeah. I think it takes a little more than just a good game of football to make this profitable. And then you have some hardcore football fans who will appreciate the product perhaps, but still not watch.

Any chance the NFL uses this as a farm system type thing?

Aaron Murray lost his job in the first game. Sad to see.

Not much good play all weekend. The houston team was the only one that impressed me, and tht was not very much. Unless play improves the next couple of weeks this will fail.

Not to excuse the play, but I imagine there's a knock-the-rust off factor.

And that is why this league will eventually die. In reality it is basically players who cannot make NFL rosters. There is no star power at all. Aside from the "What is this all about factor" it was sub par football with no interesting players except for those of us who want to see their former players from their respective schools. I was interested in the rule changes, though the kickoff idea was kind of cool a few other things that where interesting. I like listening to the booth calls but how long can that go on? When you are hearing a play call and then seeing it executed. After time wouldnt each team have the others teams playbook via Film?
last nights "Dallas" game was a snooze fest. Yes could be rust.

Other alternate leagues had star power at least. ABA had Dr. J, What was that other football league had Walker, Flutie etc. I dont even recall the name anymore.

It will make it a few seasons because of the money behind it but eventually it will have the same fan base as Arena football.

I watched a little this weekend. As mentioned wanted to see the new rule changes and new gimmicks and what they were like but with PGA about to get into full swing, MLB Pitchers and Catchers report, College Baseball and Softball (For those of us into that kind of thing). Also, Spring starting in a month or so so Saturdays will be yard work listening to Braves baseball.

Well for me it will be at some softball field in the Southeast all weekend but you get the point.

This why I said, "Unless play improves..."
