Can someone please take this trash out?

The longer he holds the ball, the higher the risk of injury out of bounds. My statement concerned an early throw away and not running out of bounds, while your response was about a very late throw away and still running out of bounds.

Umm.. you sir have a future in drama. And the only name being called is your projection of what Trash is.. now go read a book and let the adults talk

From a football perspective, I would prefer he give the play as much of a chance as he can afford without losing yards. That would be the best decision, and he still could have gotten hit.

But Eason didn't expect the hit.
A reasonable expectation. It was an illegal hit.

I mean I think at this point Fromm starts, if he continues to play well and win games.
However, when/if Fromm does Struggle, which I could see as he is a True Frosh, then Eason is ready to step in and earn his job back.
I couldn't agree more. I love that we have this "problem"

Do you disagree with the risk of a late out of bounds hit increasing the longer he holds the ball in that situation?
Posted on 9/26/17 at 3:18 pm to FooManChoo
There was one pass Sat that Fromm completed, but Eason would not have. IT was about a 10 yd pass to a crossing route at about the right hash. Fromm threw a touch pass and led the receiver to easily make the catch and maintain his stride. Eason would have thrown the ball through the receiver and, even if he could have caught it, he would have to take time to "recover from the catch" and then continue the play. Fromm gets that being a QB is all about connecting with the receiver, not showing off your arm strength.

No. I disagree that that risk makes it his fault.

I think part of that is he makes late reads and late throws. He has to rocket it in there because the window is closing.
I really need to go back and watch one of Eason's best games from last year just to get a feel again for his game.

Mizzou
Eason is clearly "better" with the tools, but the best point mad so far is that Fromm throws "soft" and "catchable" balls and with greater accuracy
He is also more of a leader from what we have seen so far

Vandy, auburn, Kentucky. He got really hot in all 3.

Which year of Murray? He was kind of shaky at first.

That's one of the downsides of being hailed as a messiah - you are expected to deliver messiah-like performances. Unrealistic expectations aren't his fault, though; the kid can only do what he can do.

If you watch that play Eason was injured on, he had an open Chubb out in front of him and rather than hit the check down, which he rarely does, he holds the ball looking for a play downfield.

Ja-cob Ea-son (clap. clap...clap, clap, clap)
Ja-ake Fro-omm (clap. clap....oh screw it - it doesn't work as well!)
This is dumb debate. Who cares who plays, as long as it is the guy the coaches think gives us the best chance to win. Do you not trust Kirby? When is the last time UGA had a superior QB on the bench.? I dont recall it ever happening. The best guy plays and this board doesn't get to make that decision...(thank the lord)
You guys are inventing a problem that doesn't exist. The best guy WILL play, Kirby has said as much! Eason isn't even healthy.
I'd love nothing more than to have 4 5* quartebacks riding the pine every year in Athens. That is what Bama does. Do I care if they are from Hawaii or Florida or GA or fricking Croatia? NO. Take the names off the jerseys - all I care about is the G on the helmet!
We get all the 5* QB croots and only use the one the coach chooses! I dont care if any of these kids "make it" in the NFL. The NFL sucks. I want UGA wins. I don't care if they transfer, because we all know that transfer QBs RARELY do anything. (dammit Cam - preventing me from saying NEVER. Jake Coker, maybe?)
You think Bama fans care who thier QB is? If Saban runs him on the field -he is the guy. Period. You think the buckeyes care who the QB is? Nope. They had 3 5* guys that were arguably the 3 best QBs in college football at one time! That would be AWESOME! The Bama way (and The Bear way)...Hunker down and bring on more 5* QB croots so no one else has them and quit whining over the best way to win!!!
Sorry for the rant. I would post less, but that really aint possible. I dont think...

You're right. I don't own stock in either of these 2 young men.
God bless em both and let the best man win!

Eason stunk up the field ...Fromm would have hung 45 on them
Why do people say stuff like this as if it is fact? Nobody knows what Fromm would have done last year with that team. People make all kinds of statements as if they are irrefutable facts, and it amazes me.
I love Fromm and what he has done, but lets not crown him the greatest of all time based on 3 or 4 games.

Fromm does well with his progressions as evidenced by the 3rd quarter TD pass to Nauta
He does at times. There are also times where he stares down his receivers and forces passes in to them....although I saw less of that against Mississippi State.
