If you frick with a professional at his job when they are in a difficult situation, you get what you deserve.

Pick your moment more carefully.

Can you back up, you're really not supposed to be back here," he saidaccording to the story.

If he in fact said this then he needs to be more professional.Cannot picture any of the greats of
golf (sans Tiger) saying something like this to
a patron.

No doubt he has issues (he's admitted as much)Lets
hope he's working on getting them resolved.

I don't hate Tiger. I just hate that he attracted a bunch of mike and mike rabble to the game that don't care anything about its traditions or manners and also because it takes 4 and a half hours to play a round of golf sometimes because of these type assholes.

To be honest Bubba is a dick and has acted like one on more than one occasion. He reamed his caddy out in the middle of a round because he hit a bad shot and tried to blame the caddy for it.

But you know what? He gets to be a dick at the Masters. When an artist is at work, you let them do their shite and be thankful you get to watch from hallowed ground

Well said. THis isn't the NBA where mike and mike schlubs wear jerseys and screw thier hats on backwards and heckle the players from court side seats. THose losers can go frick themselves.

As for Bubba, he's is a unique dude. The weird temper thing is probably tied into the overly emotional thing where he cries at the drop of a hat. All true geniuses have their quirks. And Bubba is very much a genius at what he does.

It's not just what we see that makes people think he's a doucher, the tour took a silent vote and he was voted least liked by the other tour players.

Who did the silent voters elect as "most liked"? I would almost guarantee that whoever it was is the biggest douche on tour.

They did the same silent vote survey before the TPC last year for most over-rated players and Ricky Fowler won. ANd then RIcky Fowler won the TPC.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 has also sold millions of movie tickets. FWIW.

Most liked = bullshite imo. Always.

Bubba is an insanely competitive guy. I can see him saying something like that in the moment, at the Masters. There's almost too many stories about him for them not to be true.

But, what in the hell is wrong with what he said, given the lack of context given? What if the patron was all in the way? Even if that isn't a direct quote, that first request doesn't seem to harsh, especially if the spectator truly was in the way.

There's nothing wrong with it.

THe Problem Is: We live amongst a generation raised by having mike and mike phony moral arbiters blasted in their ears DAILY.........who are having a contest to see who can get outraged the quickest..... in the most obnoxious new yorkiest and new york jewishiest unbearable accent.

The end result, basically, is an country full of retards. I skipped some factors in there. but end result is the same. we're doomed

You should act like a professional and if he thought guy shouldn't have been there then go get a Marshall to remove him.I'm sure there was one within earshot. And you don' get into a pissing match with em.Sorry, never heard of Jack,Arnie,Watson,Player or even Michelson doing shite like this.

And do you honestly think this is something new?

Are you at all familiar with the US Open at Oakmont in '62?Have any idea the abuse Nicklaus recieved from the
Western Pennsylvania rednecks in the gallery?

He freakin kept his mouth shut and took the title away from Arnie.

I'm a fan of Bubba but whatever emotional issues he has is something he needs to get under control because it'll eventually effect his game.

Oakmont '62 final round BTW
Sunday, June 17, 1962

The 10,000 that showed up for the playoff on Sunday were decidedly pro-Palmer, constantly taunting the 22-year-old upstart. (Palmer was from nearby Latrobe.) Nicklaus, however, silenced the crowd by going up by four strokes after six holes.[16] Palmer then launched one of his patented charges with birdies at 9, 11, and 12 to close within one, but a three-putt bogey at 13 proved to be costly for Palmer. Nicklaus held him off from there and prevailed by three strokes, carding a 71 to Palmer's 74.[17] Nicklaus won the championship on the greens; he had just one three-putt the entire week, while Palmer had 10.[18] Nicklaus became the youngest winner of the U.S. Open since Bobby Jones in 1923, and became the first since Jones to hold the Open and the U.S. Amateur championship at the same time; he had won the Amateur the previous year before turning pro in the winter. For Palmer, this began a frustrating stretch as a runner-up in four U.S. Opens in six years, with three in playoffs. His words after the tournament proved prophetic, saying of Nicklaus: "Now that the big guy is out of the cage, everybody better run for cover."[19]

Yea, this is my take. Don't get petty with fans like that. Bubba is a weird dude and acts like an arse on the course. I want to root for him but his antics can make it really hard sometimes. He doesn't get a pass just because he's a Dawg.

Not only this incident but everytime he screwed up a chip or a putt he looked at his caddy like it was his fault.

I don't follow golf closely...its not something I'm really into...but I know who Bubba is and I know how big of a deal The Masters is...

I would have said the exact same thing, probably worse.

You haven't followed golf much have you? Everyone of these men have showed their arse on a golf course, or an interview, etc at some point. Even Bobby Jones himself did stuff on golf courses that would probably make you easily-offended finger-waggers pass out from the vapors. Sheesh.

Hey. Anybody see Spieth yelling at the CBS camera crew to get out of his face as he walked off 18 to the clubhouse on Sunday? Real classy.

Right, just gave you an example from 1962 and I haven't "followed much golf"

You have examples of these guys showing their arse at a Augusta or another major? Specifically Arnie,Watson,Niclaus or Player?

You think for a second that Bubba could have gone through what happened to Jack at Oakmont?Please...
