What on earth is going on?

Apparently a large portion of UGA’s team doesn’t think the Sugar Bowl is worth their time.

You claimed he was screwed over, how? He was given the opportunity to compete and didn’t win the job so how exactly was he screwed over?

I already said you were correct about fields not being screwed over.

Focus on me saying uga was screwed over, and then produce the link you claim exists.

I don't think we are being dramatic enough guys.

This might be the worst thing to ever happen in UGA history. Kirby suspending guys, ppl flunking classes, others hurt or sitting out due to draft potential.

I mean these are things that never happen. Something is going on in the locker room without a doubt. Who knows if our program will ever recover. What a sad day.

If there’s another example of any program missing this many players for a bowl game, I haven’t heard of it.

LSU had 3rd string WRs playing DB in their bowl last year due to draft stock, injuries and suspensions.

It’s the overall number that’s eye opening

It’s a national embarrassment at this point. I hope the media calls Kirby out for his bullshite on this.

He is wearing out his welcome quickly. The culture of our program is in the shitter, the two best QBs to come out of the state of Georgia in decades are playing in the playoffs for other teams, and meanwhile we couldn’t score 20 points on air.

Having 20 guys out for a bowl is not normal.

Look on the bright side. This game may be a preview of the 2020 2 deep. A dominant win is a must.

It definitely isn't normal but in today's world the fact is it is the least important game of the season.

It is basically a scrimmage with minimal impact. We win we finish 4th in the polls and if we lose we drop lower. We went through this drill last season and it had no impact for us this season (it did for Texas.)

I agree it looks bad and it might mean something is off and it almost definitely means changes will need to be made.

But it is personal choice how we each respond to adversity (and I use that word loosely since folks posting here prob are not in a position to actually affect change.)

I know for a fact I can't so I will cheer for the kids and hope folks with much more skin in the game will try to make the necessary improvements.

And if they don't (or won't like so many here fear) then eventually changes will be made for them...because that is how it goes.

A logical take on the situation and a well written post.

Your obviously an alter or are in the wrong place.

Nope...it usually just not worth it to actually post...better just to read info provided from others...and I normally just glaze over the crazy but the amount of angst this season has been amazing (depressing) and this thread is a microcosm and I felt compelled.

I mean yes this whole season was joyless and frustrating. And yes it feels like coach has been stubborn (see the senator's post this weekend on it.) And yes the bowl situation is messy.

But I lived through the 90s and 00s when beating Florida felt like a dream so three straight pretty easily while maintaing a better roster while basically flipping mindsets with them and at least making the secc still matters to me.

I want more just like everyone else.

IMO, Senator gets too locked on to “man ball” as a reason to critique Smart but really until this year “manball” worked pretty well. Got us to the big game in 2017 and we beaten by a bigger better version of “manball” last year in the SECCG.

The internet scuttlebutt elsewhere seems to think we will be adding some new offensive coaches after our game so hopefully CKS will learn from 2019. We’ll see.
