The goofy arse coach Georgia Tech had before Brent Key, Geoff Collins? Well he’s a YouTuber now and here’s a video of him begging Kirby Smart to hire him. Not really but still interesting to see come across my feed. LINK

That might be the worst coaching hire one of our rivals has ever made.
Obviously there was going to be a drop off and multiple lean years when whoever took over after Paul Johnson tried to move the program back to a more standard modern CFB offense, but Collins was just an utter clown who clearly had no coaching chops.
Say what you will about Brent Key, but at least he’s a coach you can take seriously.

He just seems like a try hard and I would find it hard for him to resonate with his players. It’s funny he describes Kirby addressing the team and the passion he showed. Said players were ready to run through a brick wall at practice and his microphone coaching. Kirby holds a high standard and it’s probably what Geoff wants to be able to do but can’t.

At this point, I'm not as sold on Buster Faulkner as some seem to be, but if his greatness is assumed where does that leave Brent Key?

Congrats. You are making a case to be a triple option offense at an ACC P4 university.
You want to challenge every DC the very first time you face them and get your arse planted for the other remaining seasons.
It wasn't long after Kirby arrived that he got the axe, because they weren't going to have any more success with Kang in Athens.
