Did Louisville shitcanne Petrino to be first in line for Joey Freshwater...

Jeff Brohm played at Louisville and has openly stated that is his dream job. That'll be their first call.

I don't know if Dino Babers (Syracuse) would consider it but you have to think that he will get a look or many from other schools this year.

I don't think they fire PJ. They hitched their wagon to him, extended his contract after a bad year, and I think they're going to ride it out until the contract is done....and then he will be asked to leave voluntarily, 'retire', or be fired...kind of like FSU did to Bobby Bowden.

After that, who knows? Unless they hire another option coach, it will take a couple of good recruiting classes to get back to running a modern offense. Which means they could be a cluster-frick for years to come.

I'm good with that.

That's misleading. They extended the term of the contract, but reduced his buyout from being one of the highest in CFB to one of the lowest. All PJ signed was an exit strategy for Stansbury.

Interesting. I did not know that. If that's so, he may be gone.

They have Virginia and us left on the schedule, and they're already bowl-eligible. Probably will salvage a 7-5 season. Will that be enough to keep him around?

I work with tons of Tech grads. I have never seen them so indifferent about the program. Guys that used to go to games a few times a year stopped going. Die-hard season ticket holders have been rooting for CPJ to lose. Still I don't think they fire him after a 7-5 season.
