Which Sugar bowl winning UGA team was best? 02, 07, or 19

This thought popped into my head today.

We only lost once in 02 and won the SEC, so I'd say 2002 but the 07 team was hot as anyone during that stretch and the 19 team probably had the most talent. Not sure even at full strength the 2019 team could beat 2002 head to head.

The 2019 defense would dominate the 2002 and 2007 offenses.

By the time that 07 game was played, that was the best team in the country.

The 2002 team vs 2019 would be amazing to watch. That old school offense of 2002 plays to the 2019s defensive strengths. And the 2002 defense would frick our 2019 offense up too.

It would end up 27-30 after 10 overtimes. Billy Bennett and Rodrigo going back and forth. Only ends because Billy gets bored, roasts a bone on the sideline, and pulls his FG attempt in the 10th OT

They were red hot and 2019 Georgia was trending down. I'd take 2007 over all of them but 2002 group could make it a war too. 2019 defense keeps them in it but 2007 had a better offense than both.

Perhaps but they weren’t anything special.

07 completely flipped a midseason switch and played dominant football from the Florida game on.

02 and 19 were actually somewhat comparable teams, but 02 got more out of Greene and the passing game toward the end of the season.

This was the worst because of the offense. All three had great defenses.

'07 was not a 'great defense" at all and a fully healthy '19 is better.2019 also has a much better resume... victories over probably 3 top 10 teams.2007 beat zero.

I actually think 07 was probably the worst of them. Certainly the worst defensively, by far. Also put up some real stinkers offensively.

It might have been the best in the country by the end, but that was a very down year nationally. There was no one even remotely like 2019 LSU or Clemson, for example.

I forgot that Troy scored a touchdown with 5 seconds left. That was the closest game on the scoreboard down the stretch, but it wasn't really as close as Florida or Kentucky.
