Thought it might be fun to talk about players that might emerge during bowl practice.

In the past, some players (eg Azeez Ojulari) really started to elevate their game during this part of the season.

What are the candidates for this year's team? My vote is Marvin Jones.

Bear Alexander. He got plenty of game time experience when Jalen Carter was out. And he's coached by the best Dline Coach in football. That rotation during the playoffs is going to be lethal. Shout out to Coach Tray Scott.

Real Talk labeled Bear as the least liked guy on the defensive line.

I didn't play past high school ball. But we labeled those guys as practice all americans.
Players who would do everything on each rep for an edge at the expense of the player opposite. DGAS attitude. Joy in inflicting pain.

All of that said... I'm glad he's on our team. Lol. You can see that extra little bit on each snap that Bear is on the field.

I am excited, giddy, about our defensive haul last cycle.

Starks
Alexander
Williams
Walker
Jones Jr.
Everette
etc. etc.

I hope we keep this crew together. This group will the strength of our team next year.

Kendall Milton has looked awfully good in a smaller sample size since he came back. I think he is going to get more carries against Ohio State.

And Milton will be 4 weeks healthier. Dawgs should wear OSU's defense down with ball control.

Kendall Milton

Exactly who I came here to mention. He's looked like the most explosive player in the backfield the last few weeks. Give him 4 weeks to get healthy and I bet he goes off on OSU.

I really feel like Stetson Bennett may flash.

Milton’s speed off the ball since his return has reminded me of Gurley. That’s what we all hoped he would be out of HS, hope he keeps it up.

Milton seems to have gained more of a burst every game. He also has shown some nice vision.

Where was that early in the season?

Didn't he have a groin injury much of the early season? Feels like he's been dinged up most of his career, perhaps he's finally at 100%.

HE also wasn't really given a lot of opporunity prior to a few games ago. He'd get maybe a few touches a game but lately he's taken all of Branson's carries and probably a few of Edwards' as well. Milton strikes me as a guy that takes a bit to get int he groove but once he's settled in he can be great.

I'm talking before the injury. Seems like a totally different player. Maybe he saw the writing on the wall that Edward and Branson both were doing better than him

Ohio State fans believe their OL and DL won't fare well against us.
