Went to Athens on game day without tickets....

....for the first time ever today. Got there about 2pm and had two lower level tickets in section 102 (the Georgia part as it's a split section) by 3:30pm....for $60 each. Scalpers were trying to get $300 a pair, even as the clock was winding down to kickoff. Learned today that the trick is to catch the older fans who have extras before they come across a scalper. Might be the way I do this from now on.


Anyone else have similar luck?

if you look around there are decent people willing to do fellow fans a solid.

This has always been the case. However, those tickets were probably at least $110 each for the actual season ticket holder. Wandering around the tailgates will always turn up something.

Yeah, that's who were looking for and got three opportunities in about 30 minutes. All good prices, but held out and got $60 on the last one.
