9?

Name em.
I can only come up with about 5 before injuries. Derek Lott wasnt a starter and left preseason and that crushed our depth (it would have been 6 with Lott).

DRob drops one pass and you question if he’s overrated?

probably more to do with having 0 catches last year. i think it's a fair question, actually.

I think it's fair to look at his time at Cal and say that he's not overrated.

i obviously want him to succeed in a huge way but he's gotta get on the field and produce. i personally am not reacting at all to a practice drop or really practice at all, however practice is how you get on to the field, and he didn't spend a lot of time on the field last year.

i hope he dominates this year and lives up to what he did at cal. that'd be awesome

just because you have a warm body on the roster doesn't mean you aren't thin. We lost the '12 SECCG because we had nobody to replace Jenkins even though he could barely walk he was so gassed.

If you're gonna take that route then you also have to include the 6 OLBs since one of them will most likely be at least one of the ends on a 4 man front.

So, less fricked. This is one of the deepest DLs UGA has ever had, and likely ever will have. The only issue is perhaps not having studs at 1st string. But the depth is ridiculous.

This. If the dropoff between the guy in the game and the guy on the bench is so bad that you can't afford to put in the backup, that's not depth. We could have 6 twelve year old college student walk-ons that play QB but that's not QB depth.

It depends on how healthy Rochester and Marshall are. Still haven't heard what kind of ACL surgery Rochester had. If it was a full reconstruction, then he's only 7 or 8 months out and probably won't be fully recovered until later in the year, if then. Last I've seen on Marshall is that he's taking about 50% of the practice reps and working with trainers the rest of the time. If that's accurate, he's probably not full speed either.

Guys like Netori, Young, M. Carter, Walthour are late game depth until proven otherwise. Good things have been written about Young's progress, but we'll see. Carter got very few mentions in camp. Hopefully one of Mitchell or Logue doesn't redshirt because we'll need some experience next season. DL depth is good, but not great until injury and development questions are answered.

Don't forget players can play in up to four games and still redshirt.

Now where are we going to find six 12 year old college students....much less 6 that all want to play QB?

People forget the Texas game easily. I don't consider bodies depth as well.

Good depth is considered little to no dropoff from the starters. Davis is the best interior NT/DT since Big John and UGA is always looking for guys at that tier or above.
