It's UGA in the Rose Bowl...
The final is in Atlanta.
I don't understand the hardship.

Because a lot of fans just spent a lot of money (SECCG tickets were 550 cheapest on Stubhub this am) and everyone knows the real game will be in Atlanta with a $1000 price. The semi game which isn't even for a title is 3000 miles away from Athens.
Not saying we won't travel well or have a majority of fans but its asking a lot to pack that stadium. Ticket demand surely won't be as high and if you can afford a flight I'm sure people will get in under $200

Get to deal with Baker Mayfield the likely Heisman winner. This game gone be tough.
UGA has 4 weeks to prepare. Eason is up as scout QB. The DBs need to prepare like it's training camp. Probably the closest offense they have faced is Mizzou.
Good game for ball control Jumbo Jim. Youtube is so helpful getting a closer look at them.

Ohio State fans travel well. I've already heard from 2 guys planning to go and wanting to buy drinks if I'm going. I may go.

I live in Southern California and we go to the Rose Bowl every few years. A few things to keep in mind. With no Pac 12 teams in the game the ticket situation will be interesting. Keep in mind the stadium holds about 105,000 people and neither team will be from nearby. They usually give away tickets to UCLA games and I know the Rose Bowl is a different story but I would be wary of jumping on the first $250 ticket you find out of fear. If you are lucky enough to stay in Pasadena I would definitely suggest hitting the Rose Parade early AM if you don’t go too deep on NYE. I believe that some streets in Pasadena still allow you to park an RV on public streets and spend the night. I would do some research to see if that is an option if you were considering that route. Another option for accommodations would be to stay in or near downtown LA and take the metro up to Pasadena - that is what we do. It’s about a 30 minute train ride or so and super cheap and therefore you don’t have to worry about parking which is a pain in the arse or traffic which is awful. It is still a mile or so to the stadium from where the train drops you off but should be a manageable Uber. Granted you won’t have a car to tailgate but the golf course where the Rose Bowl tailgate is can be a lot of fun. We fill a backpack with beers and booze and walk around all day and it’s a blast. Keep in mind that weather is not really an issue. Jeans and a T-shirt will be plentiful and maybe a sweatshirt for after the sun goes down. It’s always perfect here! Looking forward to seeing Dawg fans take over So Cal! Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to help out. Replace waffle house with in and out burger and any taco you can get your hands on. I will be on the 7 AM Amtrak traveling north out of San Juan Capistrano transferring at LA union station on the way up to Pasadena. They sell drinks on the train. This is a dream come true for this Southern California Dawg Fan!

Why is everybody already assuming this?We deserve #1
just as much as Clemson.
Sorry, their loss was FAR worse than ours and we obviously redeemed our loss

I want New Orleans in the worst way. Mostly because I don't mind making the trip even without tickets. From GA to LA on the other hand... May have to choose between dropping a few thousand on a for sure trip to Pasadena or the colossal prices for a potential natty in MBS. I know which one I'd write a blank check for right now.

The good thing is when we win the championship game will not require a flight or hotel for most of us. Spending some coin on a semifinal game may be an option.

Can you elaborate on more details about the train from LA to Pasadena
Posted on 12/3/17 at 7:54 am to SquatchDawg
Right now it's $3k for 2 tickets to the natty in Atlanta. Just putting that out there.

Top secret. Cannot divulge that info at this time, but I had been here for 6 years previously. Just came back at the beginning of this football season, so you can imagine how happy I am. And a little superstitious now...
