Georgia currently has a game scheduled against San Jose State for that day, while Clemson does not. Clemson does have four non-conference games already scheduled as does Georgia. However, both schools do not have a Power five opponent on the schedule other than their annual in-state rivalry game against South Carolina and Georgia Tech.

Guess SJS gets the boot

Good. Like ND last year, it lets us shut down the CFP conversation for them early, given their cripple fight of an ACC schedule.

Woah! Pretty huge development coming up on the schedule soon.

Both teams will probably be breaking in new starting QBs.

I'm a big fan of taking this on right after Lawrence leaves. I know they have a couple big QB recruits, but still.

Shows we not pussy to play anyone, unlike some teams in the conference.

Much rather play in MCB but I'm assuming the CFA kickoff game(s) were already booked.

I'm sure it's a huge deal for the Charlotte folks.I would bet the Atlanta Sports Council is rather pissed about this.

North Carolina has been a rich resource for recruiting. Much like we can't seem to field a championship basketball team near Atlanta, the NC schools struggle with a rich ha football landscape.

We gonna be allowed to have recruits at the game? I know we can't at Jax but not sure about nuetral OOC games.

Still rather play at MCB unless we're getting a shitload of money.

At least we'll likely be getting DJ Uatagovailoa in his first career start.

^^^^^^^
This is a very Nick Saban move.
It is a huge boost to recruiting in that area.

Personally. I love the home and home. But there is more risk in a home and home. I dont trust our best teams on the road at night in a hostile environment (not to be perfect). That is a hurdle that we havent consistently conquered.

You dont want a kid to take their official at a neutral site game. That would be assinine (we are selling them on the university. Not just a free ticket to a game)

Who said anything about an official? Just seeing if we can have em at the game and give em tickets...which we can't at Jax along with official visits.

Can give them tickets, but can't meet with them at the game.

How crazy would it be if we play Clemson in the NC this year?

The 2021 opener would be arguably, the biggest week 1 game in CFB history.

Not a Jax but you're saying we can do it in Charlotte?
