I had it and was back up and around in five days limited for another week then felt good as new. No worries we have a month for him to recoup.

I'm not trying to be all negadawg, but Mitchell is beginning to feel like one of those "could've been stories."

Has anyone else heard that he's been practicing with the TE/H-Backs?

I know someone who played the next week after that procedure. It all depends on the tear severity and scar tissue.

Well that's not very Disney of you...
Rumph and Mason seemed to have a bit of chemistry last year when Mason got his starts. I think he could end up having a Marlon Brown type season this year. He certainly has the tools

I'm pulling for the kid. It just feels like one of those things.

The latest news on Mitchell is saying that he will be out anywhere from 2-5 weeks.
My guess is that he's doubtful for Clemson but could very well play by South Carolina (particularly because we're idle on Sept 6).
But in the bigger picture, I'm beginning to wonder if the guy is just plain injury prone... Reminding me of Sturdivant with the weak knees...

I don't have any inside info, but here's what I've garnered from the scuttlebut since UGA isn't saying much...
Apparently it's a fairly common thing in athletes who had the surgery that MM had last year to build up scar tissue during their rehab that eventually becomes more painful & a problem when they reach near 100%...
More than likely the surgery he had was just to clean up the scar tissue to relieve him of pain with the tissue rubbing against the ligaments...

This is good news. Best case scenario, he's back before the Clemson game. I'm going to hope for that.
