While I agree with your comparison with the ultra-talented Bama 2020 team, it appears that the current Bama offense has better skilled players that we do and their OL has also looked better than our OL.
Needless to say our defense is going to have their hands full so our offense better find a way to score more than 13 points.

The lack of confidence from the fans in this thread gives me confidence that the team won't be overconfident.
Kirby will have his guys fully focused and ready to run through a fricking brick wall!

I mean we can be as confident as the sky is blue and it doesn't matter. What matters is how we play and if we don't execute better than we did against Kentucky, we're going to lose and big

We are better than Bama at every position on defense and better at every position on offense except for running back.
The recency bias in this thread and the overreaction to the last game we played is fascinating.

I tend to agree and feel this way too. Who’s to say the “true” UGA is the 2nd half vs ClemPson or 1st half Beck of game 2? All these overreactions to one game is quite funny. I expect UGA to open it up against Bama and play well.

That was even more true last year and we lost on a neutral field.
Bowers and Ladd obviously limited but not like they will be there in two weeks. Bama obviously has a mental edge against us, or at least that was true when Saban was there. Hopefully we can buck the trend.

I'll choose the defense without Dallas Turner and Caleb Downs and McKinstrey and Terrion Arnold and the best defensive coaching mind ever.
And on top of that, Georgia was the team that was overconfident last time and Alabama was the team that'd just played like shite and felt like it had something to prove.

I remember folks saying the same sort of stuff about UK the last time we played in Lexington. The score....16-6 with Kenny McIntosh scoring the only TD for us. The rest were FGs.
We won the national championship that season

Fair point on talent leaving their defense and specifically secondary. I still think it is a pretty even matchup with what we have at WR. Dom appears to be the only one that can create separation consistently.
Don't think the Kentucky game will matter much. They will be fired up to be at home so I hope we do come out with a chip but can't depend on that obviously.

the person above was talking about chambliss, who gets run at/around often.
I still have no clue why everette gets the hate he does. He is in near picture perfect position damn near every play, just has the remarkably bad luck of having the QB and/or WR make a perfect play that is nearly indefensible.

He's not terrible, but it's not bad luck either, they throw to his side more for a reason.

Teams are somewhat equal, as for first 3 games, Dawgs are slightly better on defense while they are slightly better on offense. The biggest edge is home field and it's a big one just like Sanford. Beck will have to play one of his best games and win turnovers or at least break even. Special teams will be key and this in IMHO will come down to old fashion football, who wants it the most. Think this will be a very close game and low scoring Dawgs 23 Bama 20.

After watching us this past week...and knowing how talented bama is and it being in bama at night...no way any UGA fan feels like we win this game.
Bama hasn't looked particularly sharp at times, either. They were only up 13-12 against S.Fla going into the 4Q.

Something like this is always said before Bama beats us despite all of our advantages.
