Not necessarily. I Have most of the ESPN channels, but not ESPN U. Odd omission on my Xfinity package, for sure.

That is kinda weird...I just stream my cable through PlayStation Vue...I get the mid tier package for 49.99 and it has everything I would want and all the ESPN channels I need...unfortunately, it has about 6 Big10 channel alternates, which are all always playing the same thing unless a live game is on...then of course it’s Big10 and not worth watching anyway. Lol

Looks like I have the channel. The game is not listed yet, so I can set it to record. Hopefully they will adjust that later.

I have the basic Xfinity package and it does include ESPN News. It is 821.

So the VUE TV service? Can't do that since I don't have a PS, but thinking about doing YouTube TV at some point, just haven't gotten to that point yet. Afraid I will kill my data limit if we start streaming ALL our TV.

I used to get ESPNU, but I renewed my xfinity contract recently and even though they told me I’d get same channels, they took ESPNU and a few others away. Haven’t missed them until now.
Not sure if I get ESPN news. But I bet money I don’t.

This is an interesting scheme Comcast is pulling...
It used to be you had to get the add-on sports package to get SEC network. But now it comes standard and you have to add on ESPNU and the ESPN news deal. Which used to come standard.
I don’t understand the angle.

Figured it out.
They could have just aired this game on one of the two alternate SEC network channels. And ESPN news could do whatever it normally does uninterrupted.
But the gigantic Georgia customer base already has SEC network.
So situations like this are an opportunity to try and get subscribers to add on the ESPN news package to their contracts. And many will do it, I’m sure.

Don't you think that's a little short-sighted?
It was a surprise that ESPN scheduled this as a night game to begin with.
This matchup had noon written all over it since the day MTSU signed the contract.

If you have the xfinity ‘my account’ app on your phone, it’ll list your channel lineup.
Just checked mine. I get every ESPN channel except ESPN News and ESPNU.
Looking forward to listening to the game on radio for a change of pace. I used to listen to games all the time instead of watching.

Get a free trial to youtubetv for the weekend. I use it and get ESPN News.

No. I’ll be using a Panasonic AM radio. Don’t remember channel number. You just scroll through the am channels until you hear someone speaking English instead of Spanish. Then... you’re either on one of the preacher channels or the Georgia Bulldogs affiliate. Keep scrolling until you don’t hear preaching. And you’re on it.
