Literally every single time UGA basketball gets a big lead on a good team they blow it.

For decades

Yeah… stagnant offense. Playing to lose not to win. Tired of seeing this shite.

Needed more from JAR tonight, fouls out with 3 mins to play and 7 points.

We are still in this. Need to take better shots and not rush it

Bama 73-71 2mins left

And Bama hits back to back 3s

What is it about this team when they get a lead against a good squad. It’s really fricking frustrating watching us get so close, hopeful even. To then watch it get washed away. Reminds me of the falcons. They don’t have a winning culture and don’t know how to close. Alabama never panicked. We’ve been panicking even up double digits. That’s the difference.

We’re a young team. Got good talent. It’s part of the process. Unfortunately, we just don’t have enough dudes to beat the really good teams.

we’re really not though, right? The only freshmen with significant minutes are Cain, Demary and James. many of the upperclassmen are new to us but they’re still upperclasmen.

Not comparing numbers, just watching teams that clearly don’t know how to finish games and win stands out.

This was pretty much a do or die game for our postseason hopes. You cannot let that slip through your fingers. If it’s 2/1 and we have wins against Tennessee and Alabama, we’re not discussing a possible tourney bid. We’re talking seeding. You can’t not finish.

I was hoping for 18-20 wins this year with an NIT game in the Steg. All of those goals are still alive.

Really sucked seeing it slip away, although being a UGA basketball fan that's nothing new. Before the season even started, knowing nothing about what we really had roster-wise, what would we have predicted our conference record to be right now?

@Mizz- Tossup
Ark- L
UT- L
@SC- Tossup
@UK- L
LSU- W
@UF- L
Bama- L

Honestly only 1 game, for me personally, that I'd point to and say "yes we should absolutely win that game". Let's say we split the tossup games and steal one of the probable losses and win when we shouldn't, that's still a record of 3-5. Yet here we are at 4-4. It's super disappointing the way the last 2 games have gone down but being honest we are still ahead of what most of us likely would've predicted. It's looking less and less likely we make the tourney, which obvioulsy nobody would've predicted us to make preseason anyway. It was fun to catch that glimmer of hope for a few weeks though. We should absolutely make the NIT though based on what we're capable of and that's still very much in front of us.

We just don’t know how to win. Feel like when we’re behind we play incredibly loose and free and then when we get up we stall out and panic.

while what you say is true, we also still have a sizeable talent disadvantage over the teams in question. Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama are all exponentionally more talented than we are with 5 star all americans all over the roster. White has MAJORLY upgraded us in this department compared to the last 10 yeras but we still have work to do. In all these close games we're losing, having another bonafide star is the difference.

It's my hope that we continue to build the roster and will be in the top qurater of the league regularly, soon.
