We could have slanted that scheme to death but that is not a component of our playbook.

Ironic because Bobo was money on slants and skinny posts, maybe the best I've ever seen in a Georgia quarterback. Those were his throws back in the day.

Bobo's used everything in the pro-style playbook at one time or another. If you look at 2023, they used plenty of short to medium crossing routes. If Bobo's avoiding something, it's probably because current personnel don't execute it well. Throwing across the middle doesn't seem to be Gunner's forte. Maybe it's a combination of height and trajectory on his passes.

It's been a historic/incredible/fun 25 year run for Georgia football, at least for people who like Georgia football. Of course, the haters are busy bees, nitpicking and bellyaching. They're full of suggestions on how the program "should" be run.

Did anyone else notice that the Redcoat band worked part of the Imperial March into the back half of the Night on Bald Mountain portion that they always play when Defense is on 3rd down?

I'll see if I can find it from the game yesterday.

They started working that in in 2015 or 2016 - because it was right after I graduated and I was sad I didn't get to blast that tuba part while I was there.

I've never picked up on it until yesterday. Glad my Star Wars brain is still on that frequency.

I also think after watching the TX game that he doesn’t go into the bag for certain schemes unless we really need a score. I don’t think it’s an accident that we came out on fire against TX…then slowed down for two qtrs….then when the game got within 4 pts we lit the fire again when it was too late for their D to adjust.

We looked like crap yesterday but the game didn’t ever feel really at risk. My guess is if we got behind or tied we’d have seen some different plays.

That’s my hope anyway since it looked like we forgot how to pass the ball.
