They had 2 weeks leading into the game last year…

I wish Muschamp was going to be on the sidelines this game.

The scheme actually is in place to limit QB runs from pocket.
.

If that’s the scheme then he needs a new one. Milroy, King, and Leonard torched us on the ground last year. Another bad take from Pete, do you even watch the games?

Don't be a simp.

UGA doesn't do 1 thing all of the time.
Scheme. Tendency. Keys.

But there are a lot of plays to defend. The scheme can be to contain and several plays still send blitzers..
Or as was the case in 2019 and 2022, sometimes the players dont execute the scheme and they create levels.

Stating facts makes me a simp? Ha, you can go back to Kirby’s days as a DC at Bama, a mobile qb has always given him trouble . But I don’t think we have to worry about that as much with Simpson. I’m more worried about discipline on the defensive side over scheme/tendencies.

Yes, Kirby doesn’t know defense. You know better and have the receipts. Got it.

Agreed Florida State can be a rough environment even when their not good, but that was a day game with FSU coming off a God awful 2-10 season.

This is going to be a far more hostile environment at night and it's Bama's first trip to Athens since Kirby took over. Not to mention Bama is the one team that has had our number so that's just going to increase the hype for this game. Might be the most insane Sanford has been in a very long time if ever

Your first sentence was small minded. There are roughly 70 defensive snaps. A team can play conservative 90% of the snaps (squeeze the pocket) and get royally burned on the few attempts at aggression. Mike Leach had a career out of the handful of snaps that his QB faced man coverage.

The rest of your post was ok. My apologies for not being clear

Where exactly did I say any of that? Here is another example of your turning an ant bed into a mountain on these threads. I commented on YOUR idea of what you think the defense does against mobile QBs. If you want a receipt Haynes King looked like Cam Newton last year with over 400 yards of Total offense. Look up how many games he went for 300/100, I imagine there weren’t many.

So, to be clear, you think Kirby does not want to contain and collapse the pocket with 4 players as his primary scheme vs passing? Your proof is some teams had running Qbs who had success against us?
So, what does Kirby want to do?

I wasn’t commenting on what you think the scheme is vs the pass, I commented on your idea on stopping a mobile QBs. But I’m not in the coaches meetings but since you are I’ll just agree with you. I’ll start dodging questions just like you.

It’s not my idea on stopping mobile QBs. It’s what he does. Mobile QBs getting run yards are not the same as QBs breaking contain and making yards on a scramble. Which can be significant especially when playing man coverage. Which is part of a pass rush scheme. Which is what was being discussed.

Whatever you say Coach Pete, how have the team meetings been these last two weeks? Will the defense come out flat like they did in Tuscaloosa last year?

Does Radi Nabulsi and Rusty Mansell come to you for all things UGA football?

I imagine Brooks Austin comes to you before he breaks down UGA film?

Getting a woman to concede is rare. I’d like to thank my coaches and Jesus for making this possible.

You've clearly been daddied by Coach Buck

God I hope that we can hold up against Ty Simpson and this Elite WR room. I think most DAWGS fans have been burned in the past but we have a pretty elite offense ourselves with Branch, Humphries, and the RBs
