Yes but I like to find positives in some things instead of constantly being pessimistic.

I made one comment. Suddenly I'm constantly pessimistic? Oooooooooookay, buddy.

That's not based on one comment. It's just something I've picked up from you over time...

You haven't exactly been around long enough to have a lengthy memory of my postings, hata. Sorry.

That said, I am not a "Disney Dawg" (Firewind). I'm also not a "Doomsday Dawg" (CHD/GATA). I am a realist. If you want to see that as pessimism, that's your prerogative. I am more positive in my expressions than many here. But I'm also cautious about getting overly optimistic concerning reports from spring ball.

You may define that as you see fit.

There were good things said about Gurley, this time last year, too. Just sayin'.

Yes Offensive coaches are going to be smarter than Tray and he will make some mistakes. But our defensive coaches are just as smart as the other teams offensive coaches 95% of the time. Point being if he listens to the coaches and reads his keys he will be in the right position to make the play more often than not.

“I think they are used to it now,” Richard said. “They said it was a difference when they first got there. But they are adjusted to it now. Tray was a headhunter in that scrimmage. He will run into his own people and guys on the other team. It don’t matter to him.”

If recruits, with no dawg in the fight, are talking him up, it might be time to start believing.

This.

And Marshall had a hammy last spring.

The guys who get the press and comments in spring are not always the guys who show out in fall.

Sometimes, the comments in spring are meant as encouragement because the players are getting their rears chewed off in practice (Samuel IV as a linebacker).

Sometimes, the comments in spring are because a light turns on. But that light doesn't mean we have a starter, yet. Just a player who is making a move.

I hope Tray does great. I think he's going to be solid. But let's remember what it has been like with all of our other under-classmen safeties.

I just urge a sense of caution, lest we all become some variant of Firewind.

What you talkin' 'bout Willis?

In all seriousness, I believe Tray is gonna be a beast, but I am known for my optimism also.....

I do think Tray will be an exception to what has been the rule. He seems like a good, smart, high character kid and that is much different than some of the others that we've pointed out. People just need to take my comment in context. It's not that I don't think he'll do great. I'm just not a giddy school girl. Yet.

And Firewind, it's all good. We need the Disneys as much as anyone. I admire your no limit positivism.

I changed my mind. One guy who did good in spring ended up sucking, so I think we need to accept that if anyone does good in spring, they will actually suck....
