So I figured it may be worth kicking around names linked to the dawgs or potential targets out there. I have no doubt some of these are people wishfully thinking - but one never knows. What are you hearing?

In the portal:

-Wanya Morris (tenn) former 5 star tackle
LINK

-big cat Bryant (Aub)

-kivonn bennet (aub) 5th year sr LB

-Christian Tutt (aub) db

-Eddie smith (bama) db

-Robert Barnes (ok) db

Maybes:

- the corner from Memphis who watched our post game ***cincinnati***

-arik Gilbert (lsu) TE

Questions:
-did we confirm jermaine Johnson is 100% gone?

-any chance to hold Stevenson?

-there was talk that despite committing Dejann warren never signed with Deion. Is he still in play?

Tutt

Eddie smith

Robert Barnes

The theme though is all were recruited by Georgia and/or Kirby. On the last one, darn it not Memphis (currently on a trip there for work) but cincinnati. There was the bowl game picture of the young man watching us celebrate and word was coaches spoke but nobody knows what about. Just pure speculation there.

Tutt had some really big plays, but he also got burned. A lot. Not sure if I want him, but I also know we probably need at least 1 DB from the portal.

Gilbert is a real possibility, but it seems to swing back and forth with him. Not sure if it is from his end or our end, but we go from definitely want and going after to not sure if we are in it at all.

Not in it for...or need...Big Kat Bryant or Wanya Morris.

Unfortunately, that sounds like a fit for us.

Not really in the portal. He was dismissed from UT for weapons and drug charges.

Unfortunately...you are right.

It will take awhile but defense will catch up to the wide open offenses. in the meantime offenses will rule and I'm glad we appear to be loaded. The only position we have to worry about injury next year will be QB.

He's a warm body and is an experienced SEC starter at CB.I'll take em unless there's someone else out there with a better resume.

Yeah, I agree. I just cringe when I think about him.

Strong rumors out there that Ricks from LSU might be going into the portal and we would go after him hard. That one I could get behind 100%. We'll see.

I'm not familiar with either of those, but the conference Memphis plays in would indicate that one has seen a few passes and is possibly pretty good.

Unless it's a Russel Wilson caliber athlete, I'd stay away from the portal. With the way Dogs have been recruiting, they shouldn't need to go looking for anybody. If I was a member of the current squad, I'd take it as an insult if Dogs brought in a transfer player at my position. GO DOGS!

Guy on another site who lives in Memphis and watched him play says he has regressed pretty bad from Freshman til now. Some injury history as well.

I'll have to take a look at him ans the
UNC guy.

I believe we offered Tutt and he was also a 4 star out of HS.He's also played against some of the best QB's/WR's in CFB history.

Hey, one way or another, death-or-glory guys make for exciting games! And really, your blood pressure probably isn't *that* dangerously high, right?

Even though I have had heart problems in the past, my blood pressure has always been low.

Yes, they make for exciting games.....like the 2013 Auburn game. I would rather not relive that, thank you.
