Per 4 letter network. Tom Crean is finalizing agreement to be UGA's next coach.
But more importantly, it was Woj on the 4 letter network.
I was out on Crean. Now I’m in. Let’s do this.

Does Crean fit this description for you?

Crean coached 9 years at Indiana as did Fox at UGA.....
Tom Crean went 166-135 in nine years at Indiana
Mark Fox went 163-133 in nine years with the Bulldogs
They had the exact same winning percentage (.551) in their nine years with their respective teams.

Apples to oranges. The SEC sucked, and Crean’s 1st couple years are misleading because they had all the Sampson sanctions (I believe)

9 seasons in the Big Ten are much tougher than the SEC....

First of all, I was just giving stats. Secondly, he was also at one of the/if not the, most storied programs in the country.....

How many tourney wins did he have?

6-3 vs. Thad Matta

Here’s a stat, Crean has more tourney wins (11) than UGA has in their history.
And don’t forget, he took over Indiana, who was on probation. During the first three seasons, they never fieldied a full scholarship allotment, and the coaching staff was limited with recruiting visits. So, your facts come with a little more perspective.

DawgNation reporting that it is official...

Crean's excitement for this job should pay dividends on the recruiting trail, the minute the job opened he made it clear that he wanted it bad and even gave us a second chance after Matta bailed. First time in a while that I'm actually looking forward to basketball season this early.

Hope we're also giving him all the resources he needs for a kickass staff and big recruiting budget.

I'm just glad we opened the checkbook for a big name instead of going cheap for the mid major route.

Even if Crean doesn't work out he is going to give us some hilarious gifs over the next few years.

Pretty excited about this. Has some concerns but is an upgrade over what we had. Really important to see who he hires as assistants but I'm in on this. At the very least our offense will be fun. He is very strong X's & O's and coaches some fun offense.
