That’s fricking awesome… the phantom blindside bs call too JFC

You can see the blindside block in the gif. Mondon hits him on the UGA 45 as the camera is panning to follow Stackhouse. They also showed it on the replay in the stadium. I hated to see the run called back, but it was the right call.

That is only topped by Jordan Davis's TD run.

Reminded me of Bill Goldberg’s int.

Not to go full blown “back in my day” old man, but those were the kind of hits/blocks you lived for when I played. Ear-holing an unsuspecting motherfricker was great, especially when you yelled “keep your head on swivel!” afterward.

Crack back blocks were great unless you were the crackee

My bigger complaint about that is that it’s not obvious to me that Mondon knew the ball had been intercepted at that point. It’s completely believable that Mondon thought the ball had been deflected or something and was trying to legally hit a Missouri player that could potentially catch the tipped ball.
But whatever, Dawgs won, so eff it

It was a bullshite call. They were face to face as Monden had him in coverage and made the hit thinking the ball was coming to the Mizz player. No way that’s a blindside block. He didn’t peel back to block him nor was it a dirty hit. Cost us four points.

It really was. One of many. Mondon didn't need to make the block, and it was a hard hit, but it was legal.
